Classes are designed to strengthen your relationship with your dog. Our goal is to transform the experience of conflict to one of cooperation. We incorporate trust, respect and the principles of learning theory for behavior modification. Our holistic approach appreciates that dogs act like dogs, they have feelings and their behavior is a reflection of the constellation of situational context, genetic and environmental influences. In order to successfully address "problem behavior" that threatens mutual enjoyment and a healthy relationship, we have to first change our own behavior.
Instead of our saying, "My dog is misbehaving," our approach is to invite you to reflect, "I want to understand why my dog is doing that so I can modify that behavior."
Training classes are available on the NW, and NE
side of Indianapolis. NOTE: The first class at each location is without the dog and free!
Each session is 6 weeks long, one hour/week. Instruction is personalized to meet individual needs. Missed classes are easily made - up at your convenience.
There is no obligation to continue the program after the first class. If you decide you would like to continue after the first orientation class you can submit your registration and payment at that time.

"For the Dogs!" and "Lucky Dog Retreat" are selfless contributors to helping the animal rescue community.
In 2010, the facilitators of Doggone Connection were privileged to provide free training services for twenty foster dogs. This was possible because of the generosity of the two facilities that host Doggone Connection classes: "For the Dogs!" and "Lucky Dog Retreat." Not only does each of these facilities also contribute in their own ways to the rescue community, they are staffed by kind and experienced personnel that will take extraordinary care of your dog. If you are considering a daycare and/or lodging facility, look no further. These folks are the best.
We look forward to the opportunity helping you discover a renewed relationship with your dog.
